... A While Later

Wow, what a while it's been.

I'm a teacher. I've been married for over 2 1/2 years now. We found out my poor, adorable baby dog has arthritis. I've now been to the Bahamas. I moved for the first time in my life. I bought a car that isn't from the '90s. I've now seen seals and sea otters in the flesh... I feel like a solidly happy human being.

I showed my students a picture from this blog today, which reminded me of its existence. And all the hard work I put into labeling posts, editing and rewording posts, and documenting random events/thoughts. I miss this. My blog was always for my own sake; so I can write, express myself and have a little space on the Internet to exist within.

Back to the teacher thing: I'm almost done with my first year. What an accomplishment. I've thought about quitting at least 2,873 times. Yet I plan to go back next year. I'm hoping next year I can cut that number at least in half. I've definitely had solid memories this year (someday I will have to document the best quotes from my first year). Yet I'm about ready to enjoy the reward: summer. I can't believe what a complicated job I signed up for. The end of the year is near...

I'm sure I will be way more chill when I'm lounging with a smoothie, a book and the most casual of clothes.

Peace out.
